A refreshing twist on Waldorf Salad, with dried cranberries, lemon, and orange zest. I have never been a big fan of Waldorf salad, so I looked at several recipes and came up with one I really like. This is one I take to Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. Go ahead give it a try. It’s apple season and they are probably on sale. You can use any apple but I have found Granny Smith apples are the best for this salad. They impart a better flavor.

An amazing twist on Waldorf Salad. The dressing is tangy and sweet when the orange and lemon zest is folded in. Apples, grapes, celery, and walnuts are traditional ingredients in a Waldorf Salad and we love the combination of flavors and textures. Where this is a little different is the dried cranberries. They add a pop of tart flavor to each bite. This beautiful salad would make a tasty addition to a holiday table.
Note: This recipe is made to feed a crowd. It can easily be cut in half.
